Lifestylez Social Care Centre is the hands of the Church in action. We understand that the great commission in Matthew 28:19-20 is a direct instruction from our Lord Jesus Christ to GO and make disciples. For us that implies getting out of our Church Offices and Buildings, and into the community, out amongst the people that Jesus so dearly loves, by following His example.
With Lifestylez Feeding Scheme we aim to feed all, both physically and spiritually. We learn from Luke 9 that when our stomachs are full, our spirits become more receptive. Jesus gave the command in Luke 9:13 that WE must feed the masses. That is the driving force behind the Lifestylez Feeding Scheme. We prepare a hot meal at least once a week to feed the homeless and the hungry. We also prepare food parcels for families and make sure that all their basic needs are met. We partner with schools to feed those kids who do not have the luxury of a homemade lunch. We take hands with Old-Age Homes and Retirement Complexes to ensure that those enjoying their golden years, do so with a full tummy.
Every one of these opportunities we use to spread the Gospel of Love to those who so desperately need it, and to ensure that they see the Father Heart of God through us as we represent Jesus Christ, continuing His ministry on earth through the Power and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.
Lifestylez Clothing Bank’s sole purpose is to clothe those who are in need as Jesus instructed us in Luke 3:10-11. By giving people who have none, something to wear, we do not only give them something to cover and to warm their physical bodies with, but we grant them access to basic dignity and self-worth again. Be it the homeless, families in need, the elderly, or children, by giving them comfort and warmth, we are able to speak into their lives as well. Jesus said in Matthew 25:36-40 that if we do these small acts of kindness unto others, we also do it unto Him. What a glorious privilege to extend His Kingdom through giving!
Lifestylez Elderly and Frail Care is focused on those individuals who have not only cared so diligently for our generation, but who are unfortunately often rejected or neglected by the same. We make sure that they have something to eat, something to wear, a friendly face to talk to, and do not have basic needs that are not taken care of. We gladly extend a helping hand and assist them to get to the shops, clinics, or doctors; or we simply go on their behalf if they are too weak and frail to go themselves; and we help them get to church and other important social gatherings.
We care for the elderly both in our own Lifestylez Elderly and Frail Care Centre, in all the local Old-Age Homes and Retirement Complexes, as well as for those who remain at home. The Bible is clear in 1 Timothy 5 on how important the elderly really is to God through the words of Paul to Timothy. The Bible also says that the beauty of the elderly lies in their grey hair, and that we should honour our mothers and fathers in our communities, whether they be physical or spiritual. (1 Timothy 5:1-8) (Proverbs 20:29) (Ephesians 6:2-3)
Just as we like to take care of the generation that came before us, Lifestylez Child and Orphan Care strives to take care of the next generation as well. The Church in general suffers from a spirit of fatherlessness, even more so they that are without natural fathers and mothers. In Deuteronomy 14:28-29 the Church is commanded to take all the tithes of every third year and store it up exclusively to care for those in need; and in James 1:27 it is made clear that it is always better to give than it is to receive.
Lifestylez Addiction and Rehabilitation Centre is primarily aimed at narcotics and alcohol abuse and addiction. Some of the Lifestylez Training Centre students are afforded the opportunity to serve in the Addiction and Rehabilitation field as practical training. Some of the qualified Lifestylez Training Centre students are able to serve in this Addiction and Rehabilitation field full-time, depending on the field of study in which they have been qualified.
The Participant of the Lifestylez Addiction and Rehabilitation Care initiative will also labour in and around the facilities during their stay as part of the rehabilitation process.
The Lifestylez Social Care Centre is entirely dependent on donations. Any and all donations we receive are appreciated and welcomed, and through a giving people, we are able to give. (For more information on how, what, and where to donate, please contact Lifestylez Family Ministries)
