Nobody will deny the hardships that we face every day, however, we must not allow ourselves to be overcome by it and become discouraged. Our spirit-man is being progressively renewed everyday thanks to the indwelling Holy Spirit despite physical, mental, and emotional turmoil.
We are, after all, spiritual beings first, each with a soul (our mind and emotions and will), being housed in a body (our connection with this physical word). If we hold on to the hope that our spirit is renewed daily, our spirit will prosper, when our spirit prospers our souls prosper, when our soul prospers our bodies have to come in line and it shall prosper as well.
“Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 NKJV
When we hold on to the hope of the Holy Spirit within us, He renews our spirit, He revitalises our soul, and He energises our body.
“Father, we come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ. Thank you for giving us the Holy Spirit that is renewing and rejuvenating our inward man, our spirit, every day. Help us to not look at our current affliction but keep our hope of eternal joy in view. Amen.”
